Since April 12, 2022, Georgia has allowed permitless carry. Shooters 16 and older need a Georgia hunting or fishing license or a Lands Pass and must complete the range safety video certification through GoOutdoorsGeorgia; the Forest Service ranges at Sumac Creek and Chestnut Mountain take payment on recreation.gov, and the county-run ranges set their own fees.
